Plasma Elite is new-era skin tightening technology. The Plasma Elite hand piece provides a non invasive alternative to traditional surgical skin tightening, giving minimal disruption but with incredible results. The technology works by producing a micro millimetre sized pulse of 'plasmatic lightening' from the probe on to the skin, which then superficially evaporates and causes the immediate surrounding area of skin to contract. The contraction clearly tightens this area immediately and gives an incredibly natural, youthful and long-lasting look. Small plasmatic crusts are formed on the skin which flake off by themselves after a few days. Over a period of days and weeks after the treatment, the fibroblasts in the skin produce new collagen and elastin, continuing to rejuvenate the treated area. Skin tags, age spots, pigmentation, milia, syringomas, keratosis, warts, mole and skin lesions can also be removed safely using Plasma Elite (GP consent required in some cases). The procedure is relatively quick, and while some areas may smart, a good topical anaesthetic is used prior to treatment to reduce any discomfort to an absolute minimum (lidocaine patch test required). There is little downtime as such, however there will be some superficial skin marking / scabs for a period of 5-9 days and potentially some mild to moderate swelling, however these brown marks crust and flake off naturally leaving your new skin underneath. Most people would look to take a few days off usual activities during the healing period if they have had treatment on the eyes or face, which requires a dry heal - i.e., no application of make up, topical creams or direct water / washing for at least 3 days.
